Sunflower Soul

McPherson’s Gift Store! Think Hippie Thoughts!

Leading McPherson’s Gift Store

Amanda Leppke has been hired to lead Sunflower Soul and its retail operations.

The Ark is expanding its reach even further in the McPherson Community after owner Ben Coffey filled the existing Ark to capacity and operated with a consistent vendor waitlist. To alleviate this space issue due to the Ark’s popularity is what birthed the idea to open a brand-new store in town, called Sunflower Soul. Sunflower Soul does not operate on a vendor framework but will instead focus on curated wholesale items.

Sunflower Soul is located at 202 North Main Street and will project a metaphysical vibe like that of Earthbound. It will sell toys, clothing, books, art, upscale handmade goods, and maybe even a hermit crab or two!

This exciting new boho gift store will be managed by Amanda Leppke. When asked what she is most excited about while running this store, Leppke said, “I get the chance to help open a store that will be different than many on Main. My family has always loved the boho/hippie style items, and to have to drive to Wichita to find stores like that has always been a bit much. Now, we will have something here!”

The Ark team is honored to be working with Amanda Leppke and beginning this bright new boho adventure together, starting September 1 with the store’s grand opening. Later, on Oct 1, there will be a Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony.
